PCBC COVID-19 Update
July 6th | 5:00PM
Starting July 12th, we plan to begin hosting an in-person service along with our Live Stream @ 10:30
We are looking forward to resuming public worship services! To show your care for others whom you will be worshipping with, and to best serve the entire church family and community, we ask that everyone who would like to participate follow our Service Attendance Guidelines:
Reserve your seats
Click here to register and reserve seats for everyone in your group. So we can plan and make the best provisions, we are asking everyone to register for each service they would like to attend.
Please arrive at church by 10:15 a.m.
This will allow everyone to check in, have their temperature checked and be seated by our ushers in a timely manner. Unfortunately you will not be able to pick your seat. We will arrange the seating to maximize social distancing in the Worship Center based on who is planning to attend. Please only sit with your family.
Provide COVID-19 protection
We request that everyone wear masks while in the building (ages 12 and up). It is vitally important that masks are worn during singing. Please bring your own masks and hand sanitizer for use during the service. We will have masks and hand sanitizer available in the lobby if you forget yours at home.
We plan to host a "contactless service"
While we are excited to be together, please refrain from personal contact with those outside of your immediate family while on church property (no handshaking or hugging). Everyone practicing social distancing while on campus is necessary to help ensure there is no virus transmission.
This will certainly be a new experience for us! Let's be patient and gracious with each other as we adapt to this season. Be praying for God to use this time to make us more like Jesus, and to bring many people to a deeper trust in Him.
Can I attend a service if I don't pre-register?
We are asking everyone to pre-register to attend a service. This allows us to most successfully prepare for all who will attend. If you are not sure if you can attend, go ahead and pre-register anyway - we'll understand if you are unable to make it.
Do I really have to wear a mask?
Yes. We understand there are different views on wearing masks. To show your care for others whom you will be worshipping with, and to best serve the entire church family and community, we are asking everyone to wear a mask. If you are unable to wear a mask, we ask that you join us through the Live Stream.
Will our online worship services continue?
Yes. We will continue Live Streaming our Sunday morning service.
Will offering plates still be passed?
No. For those who would like to give by check in-person, there will be giving stations by the doors of the Worship Center. You can also give online, or send a check to 199 Polly Drummond Hill Rd. Newark, DE 19711
Can I bring my children with me?
Yes, we would love for your children to join us. The State of Delaware has not allowed Children’s Ministry of any kind to resume during this time, so we will not have children’s Sunday School or Jr. Church. You know best your child's ability to sit through a service. They are welcome to bring some things to draw on or quietly play with.
Will Sunday School classes for adults and children resume at this time?
No. We do not have the capacity to resume classes at this time. We will continually reevaluate this as the state updates it’s guidelines and we have more capacity.
I’m 65 or older. May I attend these services?
Yes. However we do ask that you make yourself aware of Vulnerable Populations as Defined by the CDC. Vulnerable populations include, but is not limited to: Individuals 65 years old and older. Individuals with serious underlying health conditions, including high blood pressure, chronic lung disease, diabetes, obesity, asthma, and those whose immune systems are compromised (such as by chemotherapy, or cancer, and other conditions requiring such therapy).
Will we still be able to celebrate communion in person?
Yes, in the future we plan to have individual prepackaged sets for our communion service.
What restrooms may I use?
You may use the restrooms in the front of the building. However, it would be helpful if you could use the restroom at home before arriving.
Still have a question? We want to help!
